Azure Senior Consultant

Location: Remote

Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 plus bonus

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Consultant who is 100% focused on Microsoft technologies. Technical focus of this role will be Microsoft Azure. This technical consulting role will work with Microsoft partners to help build and/or enhance their business across new or existing Azure practices. Knowledge across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Azure Specializations that align to Microsoft Best Practices are required along with deployment scripting using Bicep or Terraform. Preferred experience in Microsoft Security and Microsoft 365. The Senior Consultant will assist with pre-sales activities, Statement of Work writing, development of work breakdown structures, training team members, detailed engineering documentation, and more.

What’s Expected

  • Assist with pre-sales conversations as you help sales teams identify and scope new opportunities, including structuring engagements that align with creating customer outcomes.
  • Writing Work Breakdown Structures and Resource Loading that help define Statements of Work
  • Be the lead technical expert helping Microsoft Partners deliver projects in services such as Microsoft Azure, Azure Landing Zones, Azure Networking, Azure Security, Azure Infrastructure, migration plans and more.
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, Well Architected Framework, and writing deep technical documentation to lead Microsoft Partners through audit preparation for Azure Specializations.
  • Experience deploying services by script development using Bicep or Terraform.
  • Maintain subject matter expertise across the Microsoft reference architecture, and best practices across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Security, and Microsoft Artificial Intelligence\Copilot capabilities.
  • Lead discussions and workshops with passion and energy that are often a mix of business and technology related discussions designed to enable partner growth in new and existing areas.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (executives, business, security, operations) to translate strategy into technical roadmaps.
  • Evaluate new Microsoft offerings and incorporate them into the architecture roadmap.
  • Help partners deploy and adopt Microsoft technologies internally within their organization in the spirit of using what you sell.
  • Evangelize the business across the Microsoft ecosystem by hosting webinars, writing blogs, presenting at major conferences, etc.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of experience designing, delivering, and supporting Microsoft Azure technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Landing Zones, Azure Networking, Azure Security, Azure Infrastructure, migration plan development\delivery, and more.
  • Experience with Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) design and deployment.
  • Experience delivering application and platform modernization initiatives across Azure Infrastructure and Platform as a service.
  • Proven ability to plan and lead Azure migrations end-to-end (assessment through cutover), including large-scale workload sizing and data transfer planning.

Dynamics 365 CE Senior Consultant

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Consultant who is 100% focused on Microsoft technologies. The technical focus of this role will be Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE). This is a client-facing, hands-on technical consulting role that will work with Microsoft partners and their customers to architect, build, integrate, and optimize Customer Engagement (CE) solutions. The ideal consultant will be a master in the art of listening as this person gathers a deep understanding of current customer business problems, business processes, and desired outcomes through a series of executive level workshops. Once the details are gathered, this person will collaboratively work with the customer to design the ‘right’ solution for them instead of just ‘a’ solution.

The Senior Consultant will assist with pre-sales activities, Statement of Work writing, development of work breakdown structures, technical leadership of delivery teams, code/design reviews, detailed solution scoping, documentation, and partner enablement.

Additional desired skillsets in addition to Dynamics Customer Engagement is in Experlogix for CPQ (Configure, Price, and Quote), Vertex for tax integration, and Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (ERP), functional consulting and business process discovery.

What’s Expected

  • Lead discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and process workshops with executive sponsors, business leaders, technical teams, and frontline users to understand current-state operations, priorities, challenges, and business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary consulting lead for discovery and solution planning engagements, building credibility quickly and guiding clients through complex business and technology decisions.
  • Assess existing Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement environments to identify issues related to process design, system architecture, data quality, user adoption, integrations, and overall platform stability.
  • Analyze and document end-to-end business processes across sales, customer management, quoting, pricing, opportunity management, and field or mobile user scenarios.
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and workarounds in current business application environments, including quoting failures, inconsistent pricing, unreliable data access, account and contact management issues, and manual spreadsheet-based processes.
  • Translate discovery findings into clearly defined business and technical requirements that can support future-state design, re-architecture, and phased implementation planning.
  • Define future-state business process improvements and solution direction using Microsoft and industry best practices, with a focus on scalability, usability, and business value.
  • Lead analysis of the broader business application ecosystem, including Dynamics 365 CE, Dynamics 365 F&O, CPQ platforms, tax engines, and related systems, to understand ownership of data, integration dependencies, handoffs, and downstream impacts.
  • Evaluate how CRM, quoting, pricing, forecasting, order flow, ERP, and operational processes interact to ensure solution designs are aligned to the full business process, not isolated functional requirements.
  • Produce future-state solution blueprints that document business goals, process flows, architecture direction, data model considerations, integration patterns, key design decisions, risks, and governance recommendations.
  • Develop phased implementation roadmaps that outline sequencing, dependencies, future workstreams, delivery assumptions, priorities, and key risks for follow-on execution.

  • Provide strategic and architectural guidance on how CRM, CPQ, ERP, tax, and related business applications should work together within a modern, stable, and scalable future-state solution.
  • Advise client stakeholders on opportunities to improve business visibility, process automation, reporting, forecasting, and overall platform utilization through the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Connect functional and technical recommendations to measurable business outcomes such as improved sales productivity, faster quote turnaround, stronger operational visibility, greater forecasting accuracy, and a better customer experience.
  • Collaborate closely with executive sponsors, delivery teams, architects, and business stakeholders to align scope, priorities, decisions, risks, and next steps throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and risks clearly to both business and technical audiences through workshops, written deliverables, and executive presentations.
  • Prepare status updates, milestone reporting, issue logs, and risk summaries to support effective engagement governance and client communication.
  • Manage scope, dependencies, and risk escalation throughout discovery and planning engagements, ensuring adjacent issues are identified and documented without creating unmanaged scope creep.
  • Validate recommendations with stakeholders, refine future-state deliverables based on feedback, and ensure all outputs are aligned to business priorities and implementation readiness.
  • Deliver executive readouts that summarize current-state findings, strategic recommendations, future-state design direction, implementation roadmap, key risks, and required sponsor decisions.
  • Support formal acceptance of discovery deliverables by ensuring all required outputs are complete, clearly documented, reviewable, and ready to transition into implementation planning.
  • Partner with account leadership and delivery stakeholders to ensure engagements are commercially sound, operationally achievable, and positioned for successful follow-on transformation work Enable partner technical growth by mentoring developers/architects, creating reusable technical assets (reference architectures, pipelines, code templates), and supporting go-to-market efforts through demos, webinars, blogs, and conference presentations.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of experience delivering Dynamics 365 solutions, with at least 5+ years of hands-on technical delivery for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Dynamics Customer Engagement
  • Strong understanding of Dynamics Customer Engagement application architecture and data model, with the ability to translate business processes into technical solution designs and extension patterns.
  • Experience leading technical discovery and solution architecture, producing architecture diagrams and technical design documents (extensions, events, permissions, APIs, integrations, and deployment).
  • Strong hands-on experience with AL and the Dynamics Customer Engagement extension development lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end technical delivery (assessment through go-live), including extension strategy, integration build, testing, release management, and production support practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across extensions, integrations, environments, and data—able to diagnose issues and implement durable fixes.
  • Excellent technical documentation skills; able to produce implementation/runbooks, integration specs, deployment guides, and handover materials for support teams.
  • Experience with modern engineering practices such as source control, branching strategies, peer review, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar).
  • Enjoys building relationships and being in front of Microsoft Partners, including leadership, business stakeholders, and delivery teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead executive conversations and hands-on user training. Being comfortable leading conversations with customer leadership teams is a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex partnerships/alliances and deliver quality outcomes in a multi-client consulting environment.
  • Ability to effectively lead and find solutions in a constantly changing environment, including new releases and platform updates.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, manage priorities, and work independently while staying highly collaborative.
  • Constant drive to learn new technologies and continuously improve delivery standards and reusable assets.

  • Experlogix for CPQ (Configure, Price, and Quote) integration experience.
  • Vertex integration for taxes integration experience
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and or Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Dynamics certification(s); additional Azure/Power Platform certifications a plus.
  • Experience working with or at a Microsoft Partner delivering Dynamics Customer Engagement technical projects, including coordination with ISVs, AppSource solutions, and third-party integration vendors.
